Berlin, Germany – Hygraph is pleased to announce a new partnership with Fruugo, a fast-growing global online marketplace operating in over 40 countries. As part of its broader strategy to improve product discovery and content customization. Fruugo has selected Hygraph to power its campaign page content infrastructure starting with a focused proof of concept (PoC).
With a product catalog exceeding 100 million SKUs from 1,000s of retailers, Fruugo’s goal is to efficiently curate high-impact campaign pages that surface relevant products based on specific business criteria. The company is implementing Hygraph to evaluate its content modeling flexibility, GraphQL-native API, versioning capabilities, and image handling capabilities needed to support their development and editorial teams
“We needed a content management solution that we could rapidly implement and scale over time, progressively expanding editorial capabilities across our websites and mobile applications. Crucially, the solution had to effortlessly integrate with our existing product catalogue, avoiding unnecessary duplication of content. Hygraph stood out due to its exceptional ease of integration and excellent support, allowing our software engineering team to confidently achieve a complete end-to-end integration within just one sprint.” — Jukka Koivusalo, Chief Technology Officer, Fruugo
The PoC focuses on a small number of landing pages and content entries, aiming to demonstrate improved editorial workflows, quicker campaign execution, and minimal developer involvement. This initiative also lays the groundwork for future mobile app content delivery, planned for later in the year.
#Why Fruugo chose Hygraph
API-first architecture – With GraphQL at its core, Hygraph enables Fruugo’s development team to integrate content delivery directly into their systems, offering precise control over how content is queried and presented.
Flexible content modeling – Fruugo gains the ability to structure and manage content in a modular way, making it easier to support campaign customization and reduce editorial complexity.
Editorial and operational efficiency – Hygraph’s versioning, image manipulation, and App Framework features help streamline how content is created, reviewed, and updated, while minimizing risk and supporting operational stability.
The PoC will begin with a limited scope, focusing on a small set of landing pages and users, with the aim of increasing traffic through more relevant, personalized content. Fruugo also plans to extend its use of Hygraph to support future mobile app content delivery later in the year.
